Cucumbers - culture quite whimsical. At malnutrition and the wrong conditions of keeping the fruits can begin to taste bitter, condense peel, to become watery or hollow inside. To avoid the last from above-mentioned misfortunes, it is necessary not to allow violations of growth of placenta of cucumbers.
Emptiness in such fruits as cucumbers are formed because of violation of growth of placenta (part where there are seeds), therefore, not to allow in vegetables of emptiness, it is necessary to know factors which promote this phenomenon and to try to prevent them.
That fruits developed normally, it is necessary to organize healthy nutrition to plants, to balance it. Most often emptiness in gherkins are formed because of the high content of nitrogen in the soil, at the same time the content in soil of calcium, phosphorus and potassium minimum. Temperature drops have negative effect on the root system of plants, and it, in turn, cannot but will affect quality of cucumbers. Viral diseases are the one more reason of formation of emptiness in fruits. In this case it is necessary to try to air as much as possible plants (especially if they are in the greenhouse), to fertilize them ashes.
It should be noted that there are hybrids of cucumbers which under any circumstances I grow up hollow inside therefore before landing of culture pay special attention to the choice of grade. More dense and crispy fruits at the following hybrids grow: F1 the First class, F1 the Petrel, F1 Maryina Roshcha, F1 the Boy about finger, etc.
Cucumbers inside empty: what should I do?
- choose suitable hybrid of cucumber;
- bring in the soil manure and ashes, in calculation of 10 kilograms of mullein and ashes liter on square meter;
- fertilize plants during growth of fruits the balanced mineral fertilizers intended especially for this culture;
- you watch soil moisture: do not allow it to dry up, but also at the same time do not fill in it;
- in time delete sick leaves and if it is necessary, then and plants entirely.
