Practically each gardener faced lack of blossoming of strawberry. In most cases adverse weather, however is the main reason of lack of flowers and illiterate leaving often leaves the contribution in forming of ovaries of culture.
Strawberry is one of the most fragrant and tasty berries. It by right takes the leading position among the majority of other berries by quantity in it useful substances. It contains the iron, sodium, magnesium and other vitamins having positive impact on human body. And thanks to the fact that culture absolutely not choosy and perfectly feels in temperate climate many gardeners put it on the garden site. However some misfortunes sometimes happen to strawberry, one of the most frequent - lack of blossoming of culture. After carrying out long-term researches the gardeners managed to establish several reasons because of which strawberry does not blossom. The most widespread of them are:
- late landing of strawberry;
- wrong landing of strawberry;
- excessive fertilizing of culture;
- shortage of nutrients.
Now we will sort these reasons slightly in more detail. So, late landing of strawberry most often promotes that culture does not blossom. From this conclusion follows that it is necessary to put/land strawberry to the open ground no later than the beginning of August. Those gardeners who only begin to be engaged in cultivation of strawberry make mistake – carry out landing only in the fall. Because of it bushes do not manage to take roots and gain properly strength for winter quarters, the saplings which in the spring have survived instead of beginning to blossom, try as it is possible to take roots and oblistvennitsya better that the next cold season did not become for them the last.
To cease blossom strawberry can also because of the wrong landing (bushes are planted too deeply, or, on the contrary, it is high). Therefore at disembarkation it is necessary not to forget that the heart at berry has to be flush with the earth. If these agrotechnical rules are violated, then in process of their detection it is necessary to perform works and to correct everything.
It is necessary to remember also that strawberry will not blossom at excessive fertilizing. Amateur gardeners consider, large amount of nutrients helps growth of bush and highly it affects abundance of blossoming, but absolutely not so. Actually at excessive fertilizing, strawberry increases only foliage, ""forgetting"" at the same time about peduncles. For the solution of this problem it is necessary to cease to fertilize strawberry nitrogen-containing fertilizers, but at the same time not to cease to water it. In year the condition of bushes is normalized, healthy fruits will appear.
The last reason of lack of blossoming of culture consists in lack of fertilizing. In this case it is simple to solve problem: it is necessary to fertilize saplings only in time. It is necessary to perform works three times during the season: after disembarkation of strawberry in soil (fertilizing surely has to contain phosphorus, he helps plants to take root quicker on the new place), before its blossoming (in fertilizing there has to be a lot of potassium), and after harvesting (in fertilizing phosphorus and nitrogen have to prevail).
Summing up the results, there is a wish to note that all these reasons of lack of blossoming are connected directly with human factor, but you should not exclude also influence of the nature. It also influences formation of peduncles and forming of ovaries. For example, if in the spring cold and often there are rains, then and blossoming will be less abundant, at low temperature the root system of plants works less actively, nutrients arrive in insufficient quantities and if to consider that factor that because of abundance of rains minerals are washed away from upper parts of soil quickly enough, then how many without feeding up plant, it is all the same will practically not affect abundance of blossoming.
