The problem of automation of installation of the Windows XP operating system can be caused by the necessity of periodic reinstallation caused by the different reasons. In fact, all operation comes down to creation of the special file containing replies to the requests of a system. Creation of such file is provided by developers, and the SetupMgr.exe application acts as the instrument of creation.
Instruction
1. Insert an adjusting disk of the Windows XP operating system into the disk drive and define the folder with the name Support Tools. Open the folder and make unarchiving of Deploy.cab archive by means of the used application of archiving. Start the specialized setupmgr.exe utility for transition to creation of the file of replies to the requests of the Unattend.txt system.
2. Miss the first application window of the dispatcher of the Windows installation by pressing of the Further button and apply a tag in the field "to Create" in the section "File of Answers" of the following dialog box. Confirm the choice with pressing of the Further button and apply a tag in the field "Automatic installation" in the Installation Type group in a new dialog box of the dispatcher. Pass to the next dialog box with pressing of the Further button and apply a tag in the field of the used version of the Windows XP operating system. Pay attention that implementation of such procedure of automation of installation is possible only in Windows 200 and XP. Authorize the choice of the version of OS pressing of the Further button and apply a tag in the field of a desirable method of automatic installation. Authorize application of the made changes by pressing of the Further button.
3. Execute a configuration of the created file of replies to the requests of a system. Remember that the name of the account of the user and his password, a key of the license and the choice of regional settings are considered as obligatory parameters. A symbol of determination of all obligatory parameters change of the Further button on will become "ready". Confirm the choice with pressing of the button "Is ready" and create the new text document having the .bat expansion in the adjusting OS catalog.
