Mathematical operation of extraction of the root N-oh of degree from among (radicand) means selection of such value which at multiplication by itself will give (N-1) of times a radicand. Instruction
1. Start the standard calculator which is a part of the basic software of the operating system. In any version of Windows which is used today it can be done through dialogue of start of programs — cause it simultaneous pressing of the Win and R keys. Into the only field of dialogue enter calc, click on the OK button and the calculator will be started. In Windows 7 OS same it is possible to make, having opened the main menu (for example, pressing of the Win key), having entered into the field with the inscription "Find Programs and Files" of the letter "kalk", and then having clicked the link "Calculator" in the list with search results. In other versions of Windows the same reference should be looked for in the section "Standard" of the section "All Programs" of the main menu of a system.
2. Press a combination of the Alt keys and 2 — so the interface of this application switches in the "engineering" option containing function of extraction of a root necessary to you. It is possible to make it and through the menu of the program — the corresponding point is placed in the section "Look".
3. Enter number from which it is necessary to take a root. It can be done as with use of the keyboard, and clicking with a mouse the corresponding buttons in the interface on the screen.
4. Press the button on which the symbol of extraction of a root of degree y from subradical value x is placed (ʸ√ x). Then enter the five and click an equal-sign in an application interface or press Enter on the keyboard. The program will make calculation and will display result.
5. Instead of the function used on the previous step it is possible to use another — exponentiation. Construction of any number in fractional degree means , in particular, extraction of a root from it with the indicator standing in a fraction denominator. Therefore if you build number in degree 1/5 or 0.2, then too receive the necessary result. Click in the interface the button which is responsible for start of operation of construction of number x in y degree (x ʸ), enter 0.2 and press the Enter key. The program will calculate and will display the same result, as in the previous step.
