1. Let's remember, what is area. The area is a measure of a flat figure in relation to a standard figure. When it is necessary to find the area of any figure, it is necessary to calculate how many squares with the party (which equals to unit), this figure in itself can contain.
2. Example: Let's take a figure – a rectangle, such in which the square centimeter keeps within six times. Then the area of such rectangle will equal – 6 cm2. If to take more difficult figure, for example, a trapeze, then it will turn out that: If the trapeze of such size that the square centimeter keeps within it only two times, and the third part does not get entirely and there is a small triangle. To measure the area of this remained triangle it is necessary to apply to it shares of square centimeter, it is possible to take millimeter. However, this way for difficult figures not really convenient. Therefore for calculation of the area of different figures there are various formulas.
