Pieces are called equal only if when imposing one piece on another their ends coincide. In other words, equal pieces have identical length. The construction method by means of compasses is rather exact to postpone the piece equal to this.

Instruction
1. Construct direct an on which postpone any piece of AB. According to a condition, in the course of the solution of a task you will need to construct other piece equal to it. Let the required piece will be designated as CD.
2. By means of a ruler construct other accidental direct b on the sheet of paper. For convenience it makes sense to carry out it so that on the drawing it was approximately the same length, as direct a.
3. Apply a point of C on direct b. It is possible to choose any place, in terms of an algorithm of the solution of a task it does not matter, but it is better to construct a point of C of practical reasons so that the postponed piece could be located on the sheet of paper at the left or to the right of it.
4. Measure by compasses distance between extreme points of a required piece. For this purpose place one leg of compasses in A point, and another in B point.
5. After that, without changing compasses solution, rearrange a leg from A point in a point of C. Other leg on which the slate pencil piece is fixed, note some point on a straight line. It will also be a required point of D.
6. Allocate the turned-out CD piece with fatter line. The task is solved, CD piece on direct b will be equal to AB piece on direct a.
