Rahat lakoum - the popular east delicacy possessing very pleasant and delicate flavor. The sweet is also considered a national dish in Greece. Sometimes the dessert is called just in a word - lucumas. There is rather large number of its versions, however an essential ingredients remains invariable - sugar and starch.

It is required to you

  • - 1 1/2 glasses of sugar;
  • - 1/2 glasses of corn starch;
  • - 100 ml of crimson or strawberry syrup;
  • - citric acid on a tip of a knife or 1 tablespoon of lemon juice;
  • - 1 glass of icing sugar (for a posypaniye).

Instruction

1. Mix a berry syrup, lemon juice and sugar in a tolstodonny pan, add about 100 ml of the pure filtered water and you cook on moderate fire before full dissolution of granulated sugar, periodically stir slowly mix with a wooden spoon or a scapula.

2. When mix begins to boil, remove a skin and reduce fire to minimum. Now you cook syrup before test "on a firm ball". For this purpose drip a mix droplet in cold water - it has to turn into firm "caramel".

3. Dissolve starch in very cold water in a proportion 1:3 so that there were no lumps. Pour in heat-resistant capacity and put on weak fire. You cook until mix thickens, at periodic stirring. Уварившийся remove starch from fire.
