This unusual by sight and low budget snack will perfectly look on any holiday table. Simple products – potatoes and a herring are remarkably combined among themselves. And original giving of a dish will intrigue guests and will surely cause desire to taste it.

It is required to you

  • - potatoes fresh - 3-4 pieces of the average size (about 400 g);
  • - fillet of a herring light-salted - 100 g;
  • - onions turnip, an average head - 1 piece;
  • - sesame - 1/2 tsps;
  • - greens (parsley, fennel) – 1-2 bunches;
  • - juice beet freshly squeezed - 150 ml (1 average beet is required).

Instruction

1. Boil tubers of potatoes in "uniform" to full readiness (the more softly, the better). Cool and clean from a skin. Knead the cooled-down tubers a fork or rub on a small grater.

2. Cut some fillet of herring small segments. Clean onions, pour boiled water to muffle "aroma" and cut as it is possible more small. If you don't love a sharp taste of onions, fill in it with boiled water for 5-7 minutes.

3. Take a small portion of mashed potatoes on a palm, make of it flat cake. Put on it several segments of a herring and a little onions. Close up and give the form of a ball with a cone (has to remind large strawberry – both in a form, and by the size). Upon termination of process at you about 20 pieces of "berries" have to turn out.

4. Peel fresh beet and wring out from it juice in the juice extractor. If that in economy isn't present, grate beet on a small grater and wring out juice through a gauze. Accurately dip potato balls berries in beet juice so that they were evenly painted.

5. Lay out "strawberry" on a flat wide dish, strew with sesame, decorate with leaves of parsley and fennel.
