The French cheese on a grill with cowberry and ginger sauce

Fried cheese became favourite delicacy in Europe long ago, and at us, as snack, appears only sometimes. And very in vain! Nourishing, and at the same time very tasty snack well approaches vegetable and fruit plates and is combined with various sauces.

It is required to you

  • - 300 g of the frozen cowberry
  • - 1 kg of Camembert
  • - 1 red bulb
  • - salt, cinnamon, chili pepper
  • - 3 tablespoons of a refiner syrup
  • - fresh root of ginger
  • - vegetable oil
  • - apple cider vinegar


1. Peel onions and cut it feathers, fry in the heated vegetable oil to a golden shade. Peel ginger, chop narrow thin strips, chili pepper – ringlets.

2. Add ginger and Chile to onions and fry one more minute. Defreeze berries of cowberry a little and add it to the fried thoroughly vegetables. Extinguish the received mix several minutes, continuously stirring slowly.

3. Add sugar, pour vinegar and continue to extinguish 5-6 more minutes. Salt and season with cinnamon. Remove the received sauce from a plate, shift in a bowl, cool and for 3-4 hours put in the fridge for full cooling.

4. Just before giving of snack put cheese under strongly heated grill. When Camembert pokorichnevet, shift it to a plate, nearby put cowberry chutney and at once give to a table. Cheese surely has to be hot, and cowberry sauce – cold.
