It is accepted to call some set of people united by the territory or interaction society. Preindustrial types of society

The primitive type of society is characterized by small community, a breeding system, lack of production. People lived collecting and only during a transition period mastered agriculture and cattle breeding.

One of the most long types of society in time is agrarian. For agrarian type agriculture as a managing form, community-based organization, small development of crafts is characteristic. In Europe such type of society existed up to the 18th century when there was industrial revolution. It brought changes not only in life and the social device, but also rate of life. Production mechanization significantly accelerated its rates and released a significant amount of labor.

Industrial society

Industrial revolution gave an impetus in order that society passed to a new historical stage of development. Use of the automated systems in production and discoveries which happened in the 20th century made society industrial. Exercises in the field of physics, mathematics, chemistry helped to learn the planet, to define physical properties of a set of the phenomena and "to tame" partly the nature. Industrial society in many respects balanced possibilities of people, became the reason of a mass urbanization, change of lifestyle and shift of ideals. Family values lost the importance, and to the forefront there was a personal development and the career movement. The diligence which is quite often adjoining on workaholism became guarantee of success of an individual.

Society of new type

Information and computer technologies, formation of constitutional states, a large amount of forms of ownership and many other things led to emergence of post-industrial society of new type. The main characteristic of this type of society is rapid change of traditional ways of the organization of work. Today emphasis on production of information services, reduction of number of the people occupied on production is placed. Contemporaries observe revaluation of values which concern postulates firm till today, such as gender definition and domesticity. The identity of an individual defines history, and not vice versa, as it was 20-30 years ago, Personal development and self-realization – here a basis of modern new type of society which lives in computer technologies.
