The human nature partly consists in knowledge of everyone and everything. The aspiration to learn the truth forces to devote it the whole life and to develop instruments of knowledge. And all to understand why the person came to this earth and where goes.
It is possible to call philosophy science as in its framework the set of receptions of how to learn what the world actually is was developed. And among all thinnest instruments of knowledge there are two main types – an empirical and theoretical way. Both of them have the right to life, but differ in approaches to establishment of what human nature and its place in to picture lives.
What is told by theories
The theoretical way of knowledge is a peculiar idealized idea of a study subject. The reality is represented as a certain absolute, a peculiar model of life. On similar model it is convenient to check and fulfill various theories, however the main mistake consists in idealized understanding of the world. Nothing in life is ideal and therefore all calculations of scientific minds are only approximate.
In theoretical approach thinking force, the theoretical base of knowledge on which any given conclusions are based is used. A considerable role is played here by an intuition. This sixth sense of the person challenged by many in theoretical approach has not the last value. As a result theories, ideal models and projects, various theoretical laws turn out again.
Empirical approach
Empiricism in the narrow sense of the word, this direction of knowledge which recognizes sensual experience as the main source of knowledge. Saying more simply what can be touched, seen, recorded devices, to measure, exists and it can be learned. Various scientific devices, special devices, special facility of watch, control, measurement, own empirical language are widely used. In an empirical way of knowledge of the world it is important to make observations, to experiment, abstract from false trends and own tendencies. After obtaining all data the stage of processing, generalization, application of deduction, induction, comparison, the analysis, synthesis follows. As a result of in total researches the scientific fact, the law is removed, reliable understanding about properties of things, that is a certain object of a research turns out. For simplicity of statement it is possible to call theoretical approach – way of the theorist, dreamer, and empirical – purely scientific. The experiment, cold common sense, ability to analyze and draw the correct conclusions is important. Sometimes the empirical option of knowledge is called a trial and error method, but in fact there is no other scientific way to see the world as it is.
