People thought of modeling of an ideal society at all times. Many philosophers paid the attention to creation of model of society of this kind, societies where there is no inequality and division. Where the person is harmonious and development is natural.
Models of an ideal society of Aristotle and Platon are considered as one of known and developed. It is curious that concepts of the social device at both philosophers were born in time of numerous travel when they tried to study the most optimum and favorable forms of government.
The perfect state according to Platon
Both Aristotle and Platon perceived policy as the highest human blessing. For example, in the works Platon described the perfect state as the embodiment of justice and reign of the goddess Dick which was an embodiment of justice and wisdom at Ancient Greeks. Developing a thought of the fair device, Platon considered that all citizens have to be free and be engaged only in what is pleasant to them. But such freedoms it is not boundless. It comes to an end where freedom of other person begins.
To dominate in an ideal society as Platon considered, philosophers because they have sufficient wisdom have to keep order and to settle relationship of citizens. Policemen have to be present at society for maintenance of an order and for protection and internal and external enemies, they have to have furious character. Also in an ideal society there have to be such categories of citizens as farmers, dealers, handicraftsmen. They are necessary to provide existence and that is much important, prosperity of philosophers and policemen. The ideal forms of government, according to Platon, are: aristocracy, monarchy and democracy.
Ideal society according to Aristotle
Aristotle had similar views of formation of an ideal society. Perhaps, the provision on self-development of the people living in it was the main difference. Aristotle saw the person the being who is by nature aspiring to knowledge, and therefore all forms of public way have to promote knowledge. He considered the correct forms of government in what all society lives under the law because public benefit has to be the purpose of the power. The monarchic, aristocratic and democratic forms of government are, according to him, ideal forms.
Utopia
Except Platon and Aristotle also many other famous politicians, philosophers, wise men were engaged in studying model of an ideal society. At various times the ideal society was understood differently. Modern political scientists and philosophers of view of Platon and Aristotle call a utopia, and the concept "ideal society" utopian. Considering that it designates the place which is absent, or the blessed country. Development of philosophy caused a different approach to an ideal society, representing it as the state where all citizens are equal, and the person who directs under the law is at the head, operating not the force, but wisdom. Also in it there have to be separate categories of citizens who are engaged in those types of activity which bring the benefit.
