All scientific world is closely connected with a concept of the theory. Einstein, Newton, Darwin's theories are known to all from a school bench. This word can be used both concerning organized scientific knowledge, and concerning a complex of someone's views of a phenomenon.

1. The theory in translation from Greek (theoria) - a research, consideration. It represents the complete system of the ideas, provisions, postulates which in total form science or undressed her. The theory includes logically interconnected conclusions. When developing theories the scientific method - ways of the solution of tasks and obtaining new scientific knowledge is used. The requirement of objectivity is characteristic of a scientific method: statements should not be taken on trust, results of observations and experiments are taken into account. The received facts try to explain for what they formulate hypotheses and theories, and already on their basis - the assumptions and conclusions. Thus, the theory serves for an explanation, understanding and forecasting of phenomena.
2. Though usually theories are based on results of experiments, there are exceptions and not always the postulate can be proved. When carrying out an experiment is impossible or too expensive, for proofs the predictive aspect is used: if at observation unknown before the event who follow from this theory are found. The unproven scientific statements constructed under logical laws are called hypotheses.
3. Any theory means existence of terminology, relies on logic, provides proofs. Its purpose is to explain and comprehend the phenomenon, to describe the past, to predict future course of events on the basis of the formulated postulates and logical chains. In a broad sense the theory is understood as set of the facts, the ideas, representations with the purpose to explain any phenomenon. Often the theory in informal communication call a complex of someone's views and opinions on any problem where proofs and arguments not necessarily have under themselves scientific base.
