The group of disciplines within which society and the related relations are studied carries the name of social sciences. In their focus there are various manifestations of life of the person within the social environment. These disciplines use the qualitative and quantitative scientific methods allowing to draw valid conclusions concerning a subject of researches – societies.

1. The philosophy when studying the public relations performs function of a peculiar integrator. Philosophical knowledge is not limited to consideration of the general regularities, the inherent nature and to thinking. Within social philosophy the questions which are directly relating to development of society are studied. Scientists, generalizing data of applied disciplines, answer a question of what role is played in the world of people and by society in general.
2. Data on society are not limited to the present. One of sciences which bears in itself knowledge of the past of a human civilization, – history. In its framework the events of last eras imprinted in material monuments and written sources are investigated. Without knowledge of the past it is impossible to estimate objectively the processes happening in modern society. Studying history helps to build also rather authentic forecasts about future development of society.
3. The sociology has a direct bearing on studying society. It investigates the public relationship arising between people and social groups. This science considers social processes at several levels: in terms of global processes, within separate sociological theories and also in applied aspect, for example, when holding polls and studying public opinion.
4. Closely the psychology, in particular social adjoins sociology. This science considers not only behavior of communities and groups, but also individual behavior of the person in the social environment. Important aspect of social psychology – identification of regularities of management of activity of human and relations management between the personality and society. As well as in sociology, in psychological science the experiment is crucial.
5. Political science, being one more of social sciences, it is aimed at the comparative analysis of the different political systems existing in certain regions of the planet. For this discipline the questions connected with the international security and integration of the certain countries into world political process matter. In the sphere of consideration of political science there are also problems of settlement of political conflicts.
6. A basis of life of society – economical activity. This sphere of social being is studied by economic disciplines. In focus of economy there are questions connected with use of the resources necessary for development of material benefits and also direct production and the related public relations. In economy the objective methods of a research based on statistics and mathematics are of particular importance.
