6 steps becoming a lark

The best that I undertook for self-development lately – it developed a habit to get up early in the morning. It would be desirable to share several councils. Recently I published in the blog the schedule per day, and, I think, it will be interesting to you to learn how I manage to get up at half past four every morning.

Many years I had a habit to get up late. I always liked to have a sleep, but then the schedule of my life changed, and I had to get up at 6:30 to make to children a breakfast and to bring together them in school. And last year when I decided to begin preparation for the first marathon, I decided to come for jogs in the mornings. That all this to be in time, I had to change a habitual daily routine cardinally.

So I decided to get a habit early to get up in the morning. For a start, I determined rise time at 5:30, then at 5:00. When this habit was fixed, I shifted an arrow for an hour ago, and then finished rise time till 3:30. So, the problem of time for jog was solved. Last November when I decided to participate in Nanoraymo (national week of writing of novels), I decided to get up in 4 mornings and to give, at least, one hour to work writing. Now, when this objective is achieved and to rise there is no need at this time, I determined "compromise" time of rise at 4:30. Sometimes, when I strongly am tired, or I go to bed late, - I get up in five or the half-sixth, but it after all earlier, than was prior to my work on myself.

And here my advice to those who want to develop a valuable habit to get up early:

  1. Avoid sharp changes in graphics. Do everything consecutive and systematically. Gradually begin to get up every morning for 15-30 minutes earlier, than usually. Get used to the new mode. Then finish an indicator up to 45 minutes and so on, you will not achieve the target time yet.
  2. You lay down earlier. Make over yourself effort even if you got used to go to bed late, spending evenings and the whole nights before a TV screen or the monitor of the computer. If you continue in such spirit, at the same time trying to get up earlier, then sooner or later one of habits "will glitch", and you should start from scratch all this hard work on yourself. The first practical advice is in going to bed early even if you know that you will not fall asleep. You go to bed and esteem before going to bed. If you were tired, you will fall asleep even earlier, than expect.
  3. Transfer the alarm clock far away from a bed. If it directly near at hand, you easily switch off it one movement, having just pressed the doze button. Never use the doze button. If your alarm clock is far from a bed, you should get up from it and to walk about the room to switch off it. Until you do this way – you banish a sleepiness. Do not try to find the reason to return for sleeping, now you need to cheer up.

As soon as you switched off the alarm clock – leave the bedroom. If it is necessary, make effort of will. Personally I and do – I leave the bedroom and at once I go to the bathroom. After the procedures of a morning toilet I woke up already enough to begin day. Do not allow a brain to dissuade you that it is necessary to get up early, otherwise at you ever nothing will turn out. Do not give yourself a weak point.

  1. Systematically let's themselves get enough sleep. Despite all aforesaid, periodically the organism needs a long dream. However it has to be an exception, but not the rule. Personally I one day a week do not limit myself in a dream.
  2. The habit to get up early – has to be your reward. Yes, at first sight can seem that it is difficult to induce itself to do something, but as soon as it becomes pleasant to you to rise earlier – problems to be solved. To stimulate themselves to rise a bit earlier, I thought up actions which are pleasant to me. Earlier I had coffee and read in the mornings. Now, I have no coffee, but the habit is valuable, useful and pleasant to read. The tasty breakfast can become other option of a reward (smoothie! vkusnotishcha!), meeting of dawn or meditation. Find what it is pleasant to you to do, and turn it into daily morning practice.
  3. Use the won time with advantage. You should not get up for two hours before usual only to read the blog unless it is your major purpose. You should not wake up earlier and to spend the valuable, hardly "earned" morning time in vain. At once undertake let's get down to work! I get up earlier and at once I undertake to bring together children in school, to make for them a breakfast and to plan the further plans for day. By then, as hours show 6:30, I already made more, than many do for the whole day.

Enjoy dawn! Observe in a window beauty of the morning nature when the sky brightens. And it is even better – do it, having left four walls! It is unique beauty, and now – dawn – my favourite part of day. To get up early – in itself an award for me.
