On researches of scientists and archeologists, primitive people (hominids) lived on the earth more than two million years ago. Remains of their skeletons are found in Africa. On them researchers approximately established how the first people externally looked.

1. The primitive person resembled very much the big monkey going on two legs. He had not it building of a skeleton as modern people. In spite of the fact that it moved not on four, and on two back short extremities, his torso strongly inclined forward at the movement. Hands were long, hanged down to a knee and were free - them the primitive person performed different work. Later began to hold different stone tools for hunting in hand.
2. The head of the primitive person was the smaller size, than at modern people. It is connected with the smaller sizes of a brain. The forehead was low and small. And in spite of the fact that the brain of the first people was more by the sizes, than at a monkey, it was poorly developed. The speech was not created yet, only separate sounds which expressed emotions were said. But this peculiar language of sounds was clear for other individuals, that is was means of primitive communication.
3. The face of the primitive person was brutish. The lower jaw strongly acted forward. Superciliary arches are strongly expressed. Hair were long, black and shaggy. Primitive people had a dense indumentum on all body, similar to wool. This "wool" protected a body not only from cold, but also from hot sunshine.
4. Primitive people were strong and physically developed, they constantly fought for the existence: entered fights with wild animals, climbed trees and rocks, hunted and ran much. The very first apelike people scientists call Homo habilis.
5. More reasonable person whose remains are found in Africa about 1.8 million years ago is called Homo erectus. Externally it already considerably differs from the ancestors: it has higher growth, more harmonious constitution and a direct bearing. At these people speech rudiments as they lived tribes developed. They were already able to get meat and to cook it on fire. These primitive people were already capable to leave the native habitat and to move on the North − their remains are also found in the territory of Asia and in Europe.
