Buckingham Palace - the main attraction of historical heritage of the British state. The majestic building is obliged to the construction to the duke Buckingham which practically never lived in it.

According to ancient records, the history of Buckingham Palace originates from time immemorial, since William the Conqueror's government when in the X century the last presented future territory of Buckingham Palace in hope for remission of the bloody sins to the Westminster abbey.

Soon the improved area issued in due form took over John Sheffilda, the duke Buckingham which redeemed it in 1703 with the purpose to build to itself(himself) the next palace. The duke Buckingham was nesmetno rich; construction of the palace and internal finishing of rooms involved huge costs.

But, having by nature poor health, after the end of construction shortly, the duke Buckingham dies, leaving the inconsolable widow then the building of again built wonderful palace with the adjacent extensive territory was got in 1762 by future king George III as the royal residence.

In 1837 to the English throne there ascended a woman, the Queen Victoria who at once announced Buckingham Palace the main residence in London. At the Queen Victoria in the palace insignificant additions, in particular, the big ballroom intending for exceptional cases were made. The first ball was given in 1856 in honor of the end of the Crimean war.

Now Buckingham Palace in an environment of fine gardens continues the history. It occupies twenty hectares of the earth and it is considered the residence of Queen Elizabeth II.
