1. Check of the diode. Check serviceability of the diode. For this purpose transfer a multimeter to the mode pro-calls of chains or measurement of resistance. Conclusions of the diode should not be attached to any equipment. Concern probes of conclusions of the diode, then change arrangement of probes and repeat operation. The serviceable diode has to be called only in one direction. Remember or somehow designate a conclusion which touched with the probe of positive polarity, at the moment when the diode was called. This conclusion is called the anode.
2. Installation of the diode in a chain of alternating current. Execute a gap in a chain of alternating current, by cutting of a wire or its detachment from the terminal of any electric device. Smooth out the ends of wires and their obludita by means of the soldering iron. Solder diode conclusions to the received ends, or if the diode design allows, attach wires by means of bolted connections.
3. Installation of the diode in a chain of a direct current. Execute a gap in an electrical circuit, smooth out and you obludit the received ends of wires. Define polarity of tension in a chain where the diode will be installed. It is possible to make it by means of a multimeter, in the mode of measurement of a direct current. Touch with probes the ends of wires, in the created rupture of a chain. If indications on the display are negative, then minus or the general probe is on a wire with positive polarity. If indications positive, then the positive probe concerns a point with the corresponding polarity. Define polarity of installation of the diode in an electrical circuit. If the diode is used as the carrying-out element, then attach the anode from a point with positive tension. When using the diode as the locking element the anode joins minus of an electrical circuit. Solder or otherwise attach diode conclusions to the site of a chain.
