Rate of gain is a characteristic of change of any economic indicator for the chosen period. It is defined how the relation of size of change of an indicator for the reporting period to indicator size in the previous period and can be expressed as in absolute values, and as a percentage. Though this definition a little tangled sounds, in practice the gain size quite simply pays off.
Instruction
1. Subtract from indicator size in settlement period the size of this indicator in the basic period, then you divide the received value into indicator size in the basic period, and increase result a hundred times - so you receive the amount of gain in relation to the basic period expressed as a percentage. For example, if revenue in the reporting period was 150,000, and in previous it was 100,000, then calculation of gain will look so: (150000-100000) / 100000 * 100 = 0.5 * 100 = 50%.
2. Use the calculator for practical calculations of rate of gain. For example, it can be the calculator from structure of the software of Microsoft corporation delivered together with Windows OS. The reference to it is placed in the main menu of a system on the Start-up button - having revealed him it is necessary to pass into the section "Programs", then in the subsection "Standard", then to open the section "Office" and to select the Calculator item. And it is possible to use dialogue of start of programs - to press a combination of the keys WIN + R, to enter the calc team and to click the OK button.
3. Execute the sequence of mathematical operations, clicking the button in the interface of the calculator on the screen or pressing just the same keys on the keyboard.
