Instruction
1. For drawing up the geographical description of mountains it is possible to use both the ordinary paper card, and computer. Anyway, continents and coordinates are designated there. Find the mountain system necessary to you. The name can be typed in the searcher and to use the Cards menu.
2. Look on what continent there is a mountain system. Write down the name of the continent on paper or in the text editor. Remember from what party of the usual map are the North, the South, the West and the East. Define the intermediate directions and describe most precisely in what part of the continent there is a mountain chain necessary to you.
3. Look at a coordinate grid. Find the most southern and most northern points of a mountain chain. Define between what parallels they are. If you use the computer map, then will be able to specify these points very precisely. Write down them. Look between what meridians there are most western and most east extremities of mountains. Define and write down these points.
4. Define in what direction the mountain ridge was stretched. On its any card it is very well visible. The longest distance between final points usually is accepted to the direction. Calculate the maximum extent. When using of the paper card it can be done on scale. Calculation will be quite approximate. Having the electronic card before eyes, it is possible to make more exact calculations.
5. Find other objects near the mountain system. It can be coast of the seas and oceans, the rivers, deserts, plains and many other things. Describe the provision of a mountain ridge concerning these objects. Specify in what direction from the coast of the ocean or from the desert the mountain chain and at what about a distance is located.
6. Find the highest tops of this mountain system. Write down their names and geographical coordinates. Specify in what part of a ridge they are.
