Presently people quite often deal with the intake of alcohol and drinks with its contents. Alcohol appeared in immemorial times. 1. Alcohol is distinguished on a smell, characteristic of it. It is very specific, but not such sharp as liquid ammonia.
2. It is possible to risk, having tried a small amount of alcohol – literally to steam of drops on language. You feel taste without especially expressed aroma, but your organoleptic device will experience specific physiological influence – the feeling of burning, tingling turning into warmth.
3. Apply with the pipette on the surface of glass or a ceramic saucer five-ten drops of alcohol and set fire to them. Observe a flame. It has to be bluish color, not especially hot, without release of smoke and other visible products of burning.
4. Flying properties allow to define alcohol at evaporation it from the surface of skin. Take a small amount of cotton wool, moisten it with alcohol and slightly wring out fingers. Wipe with this cotton wool the small site of skin, for example, your palm. You have to feel as it is superficially cooled in the place of evaporation of alcohol. The method of decrease in the increased body temperature – spirit rubdown is based on this property. In total all these steps increase chances to define alcohol.
