2. Consider what the carnation flower is similar to. Pay attention that it has quite long extended pedicel, and all flower very much reminds a low glass with the uneven upper edge. The bottom at such glass is wider, than the top part. Outline a flower form, without having forgotten about a pedicel.

3. Pay attention that petals of a carnation are located layers. If mentally to group them, the flower of a carnation is very similar to a puffy skirt with a large number of frills. Trace layers of petals — usually them 3-4. Layers have to be rather large that everyone could be divided into several petals. Pay attention that deckle-edged "frills".
