Sometimes, owing to some circumstances, there is a need for division of mix into compound components which can be both liquid, and firm. Knowing some features of division, you should not throw out the "spoiled" mixes at once – quite possibly to receive the substances entering them in pure form.

- - funnel;
- - magnet.
Instruction
1. Divisions of mixes are the cornerstone such ways as upholding, filtering, evaporation or use of a magnet. And for office of components from each other, it is possible to apply ways, both separately, and at once a little.
2. Liquid-liquid, for example, oil with water. Liquid-liquid is ideal for division of mixes a dividing funnel. However if that is absent, then it can be replaced with an ordinary plastic bottle into which stopper insert a rubber tube with a clip (even the hairpin will approach). Pour oil mix with water in a bottle, close a stopper, turn capacity and leave for some time for upholding. Water and oil have various density therefore each of substances will take in a few minutes "place", that is there will be their division into two layers: lower – water, and top – oil. After that substitute under a hose capacity for collecting of the received fractions. Remove a clip and merge the lower layer – water then close "crane". Substitute capacity for collecting oil and execute the same manipulations.
3. Solid substance-liquid, for example, sand with water. In this case such methods as upholding and filtering can be used. Prepare a funnel and the paper filter. If that is absent, then it can be replaced with blotting paper. Put the filter in the form of a cone and insert into a funnel. Before starting filtering anew put mix on upholding. Then small portions pour mix in a funnel therefore receive a filtrate (water) purified from sand particles. In case of need process of filtering can be carried out several times.
4. Solid substance from solution, for example, of copper vitriol or table salt, it is possible to emit with evaporation. Place solution of salt in the capacity which can be heated on the tribe of a spirit-lamp, torches (or rings). When boiling, water will evaporate, and in capacity there will be only salt crystals which can be collected easily.
5. Firm-solid substance, for example, sand and iron sawdust (shavings). In this case the usual magnet is required. Fill mix on paper, bring to it the magnet and iron sawdust to it will be attracted at once. On paper there will be only sand particles. For purity of an experiment repeat process several times. Not to collect from a magnet iron shavings by hands it is possible to resort to small cunning. Before attracting sawdust a magnet, cover mix with the sheet of paper. After that bring a magnet to which iron will be attracted even through a paper layer. Turn paper then carefully remove a magnet.
