At the solution of many mathematical and physical tasks it is required to find cube volume. As the cube is, perhaps, the simplest stereometric figure, and a formula for calculation of its volume very simple. The volume of a cube equals to a cube (third degree) of length of his edge. However, not always length of an edge is the set size. In such cases it is necessary to use other formulas of finding of volume of a cube.

1. To find cube volume if length of his edge is known, use the following formula: VK = and³ where VK is cube volume, and – length of his edge. The volume of a cube calculated on this formula will have the corresponding (cubic) unit of measure. So, for example, if length of an edge is set in millimeters (mm), then the volume of a cube will be measured in millimeters of cubic (mm³).
2. To count cube volume on the above-stated formula, take the engineering calculator. Type numerical value of length of an edge of a cube on the calculator keyboard. Press the button of exponentiation on the calculator. Depending on calculator type, this button can have a different appearance. But as a rule, it is couple of "xy" or "ab" symbols, and the second is slightly less by the size and is located a little above. After you find and you will press the button of exponentiation, press figure "3", and then the = button. The numerical value of volume of a cube will be displayed on the calculator indicator.
3. To count cube volume on the ordinary ("accounting") calculator, use the formula simplified by record: VK = and * and * and where VK is cube volume, and – length of his edge. Gain numerical value of length of an edge. Then press the button to increase "x". Again gain edge length. Again press "x". And, at last, once again enter edge length. Then press the = button.
4. To count cube volume on the computer, use the Windows calculator. Start the Calculator program ("Start-up"-> "to Execute"-> gather calc). Switch it to the mode of carrying out engineering calculations ("Look"-> "Engineering"). Type on the virtual keyboard of the calculator or on the computer keyboard cube edge length. Then just press the virtual x^3 button. Everything, the result is ready. It is not necessary to press the = button.
5. If length of an edge of a cube is unknown, and its any other characteristic is set, then for calculation of its volume (VK) use the following formulas: VK = (d/√2)³ where d is the diagonal of a side of a cube, VK = (D/√3)³ where D – cube diagonal. VK = 8 * r³ where r is the radius of the sphere entered in cubic VK = (2R/√3)³ where R is the radius of the sphere described about a cube.
