How to formulate a text problem

How to formulate a text problem

The modern education system and technology of preparation for the Unified state examination in Russian assumes the composition in this text. One of important criteria for evaluation of creative work is the formulation of a problem.

Instruction

1. Attentively read the text. Think over what the author argues that concerns him. Remember that the contradiction, the conflict is always the cornerstone of a problem. In fact, the problem is a subject of discussion, a certain difficulty, a subject of a dispute, polemic. The problem often is behind acts and the speech of heroes, the biography facts, historical events which are kind of a problem illustration.

2. There are several types of problems. Define to what type your text belongs. Philosophical: development of society, the place of the person in the world of people, search of meaning of life. Social: device and life of society, creation of the constitutional state, respect for human rights. Political: activity of the government, laws of civil society, horrors of terrorism, nationalism and chauvinism, cause of the international conflicts and wars. Moral: spiritual human life, relationship of people (egoism and humanity, kindness and cruelty, honor and dishonor, friendship and treachery, intelligence and rudeness, conflict of generations). Ecological: interrelation of the person and nature, consumer relation to the nature, culture ecology, language ecology. Esthetic: perception by the person of art, education of art taste, a book role in human lives, influence of the Internet and television on children and teenagers.

3. Choose a way of formulation of a problem. First, it can be formulated by the own words: ""The author makes think of a current problem of the choice of a course of life"". For this purpose it is possible to use questions: ""What influences formation of the identity of the person? What problem of which the author thought?"". Secondly, it is possible to use citing: ""What has to be in our life a television?"" - on such question L. Zhukhovitsky tries to find the answer"". Thirdly, it is possible to specify numbers of offers from the text if the problem is already formulated by the author.

4. Pick up standard designs. - In the text offered for the analysis be the focus of attention (whom?) - (what?) problem (what?). - In the text offered for the analysis (who?) concerns (what?) problems (what?). - The text offered for the analysis (whom?) it is devoted to a problem (what?).

5. Use words hints. Problem (what?) difficult, sore, relevant, topical, scientific, international, unsolvable, painfully familiar. Problem (what?) education, education, nobility, preservation of the native language, revival of the personality, tolerance. The author (what does?) painfully reflects, mentions, analyzes, states, puts forward, in detail stops. The author forces the reader (what to do?) it is deep to think, seriously to belong to..., to look differently on..., to estimate own position, with bitterness to understand.

6. Now insert words hints into standard designs.
