The main driving forces of growth of crystals in house conditions will be satiation and cooling of salt solution.
It is required to you
- - any salts: table salt (salt sodium),
- - alum (double salts of metals, for example aluminum),
- - copper or iron vitriol (salt of copper or iron).
- - water, better distilled.
- - bank,
- - pan,
- - torch,
- - pencil,
- - nylon thread,
- - gauze.
Instruction
1. Prepare the satiated salt solution. Pour 500 ml of water into a pan and put to heat up. On one tablespoon add salt to water, stirring slowly. Salt needs to put so much that it ceased to be dissolved in hot water – at the bottom there has to be not dissolved salt.
2. Filter solution through a gauze in prepared for bank. Do not allow it to cool down very quickly. The more slowly solution cools down, the more largely it is formed crystals. At fast cooling the set of small kristallik is formed.
3. Take small pleasant kristallik to salt, tie accurately with a thread. It will be "germ" on which the big crystal will begin to grow. By the way, kristallik it is possible just to put on a bottom, time in several days it is only necessary to overturn in order that it evenly grew.
4. Tie up a germ on thread to a pencil which put across a banks/bottle neck so that kristallik it was suspended in solution, did not concern walls and a bottom. At cultivation of crystals from solution of copper vitriol it is possible to lower just a thread in solution, without tying anything to it. On a thread crystals from which you can choose the largest and beautiful will be soon formed.
5. Cover capacity with the growing crystal paper – it will allow water from solution slowly to evaporate and not to settle in dust solution. Establish to bank with the growing crystal in the place where there are no drafts, vibration and bright light.
