If the speed of rotation of the starter, tension and density of electrolyte fell in the accumulator and also the insufficient brightness of light of headlights at the started engine is observed, perhaps, the generator of your car began to develop current of tension, smaller from norm. To define the reason for the arisen situation and to correct it it is possible in several ways.

- set of wrenches, relay regulator, driving belt of the generator, electronic tachometer, multimeter or automobile avometer.
Instruction
1. First of all check quality and size of transitional resistance on terminals, connecting blocks and contacts of "mass" of the car. At this moment the engine has to be killed, and the battery - is disconnected. Do it by means of a multimeter or the automobile avometer which is switched on in the mode of measurement of small resistance. The size of resistance should not exceed 0.1 - 0.3 Ohms.
2. Visually examine all places of connection of wires to the car chassis, the generator, the relay regulator, the starter, the accumulator and the block of safety locks. Clean all terminals and contacts from dirt and oxides, check an inhaling of bolted or nut fastenings on terminals of the generator and the starter. Remove a brush node of the generator and examine it. If necessary replace generator brushes. Especially carefully check fastening of the tire "weights" between the chassis of the car and a case of the engine.
3. Check a state and a tension of a driving belt if the belt touches a pulley stream bottom – replace it. Define the correct tension of a belt, pressing it with effort 3–5 kg in the middle of the longest site of the belt drive. The belt has to take the leave on 12–15 mm.
4. Check replacement by obviously serviceable relay regulator. Connect the tachometer to the car ignition system. Connect the multimeter included in the mode of voltage measurement of 14-20 Volts or the automobile avometer to a power conclusion of the generator. Start the engine and establish its turns within 2500–3000 rpm. Tension on a power conclusion of the generator has to be within 13.7-14.2 Volta. Turn on a high beam of headlights. If tension on the terminal of the generator fell lower than 13 Volts, it means that the generator does not develop necessary power and demands repair.
