And for the beginning scientist the participation in such researches is also way to show the skills and abilities, methodological literacy and awareness in the theoretical questions concerning a subject of scientific interest. Implementation of the research project begins with studying the existing approaches to a problem and with thorough planning.
Instruction
1. Define area of future research, its purpose and task. It can be, for example, some controversial issue on which the scientific world did not reach agreement yet. The research has to be relevant, that is comprise the essential task concerning the real problems facing concrete science which you represent.
2. Make a detailed plan according to which you will conduct a research. It should not be too general, but also excessive specification at the first stage is not necessary. In the course of considering of the concept of work and accumulation of material specify separate provisions of the plan.
3. Formulate a working hypothesis. In the most general view it represents the scientific assumption which validity you should prove or disprove during scientific researches. Accurate statement of a hypothesis will help to define correctly a technique of work and to pick up the corresponding tools.
4. Carry out information search in a research subject. Examine the main works concerning an object of research. Begin acquaintance to literature with publications of the most famous authors. During the work with each source pay attention to the list of the recommended literature. It will allow to make rather complete idea of readiness of a subject of a research.
5. If it is provided by the plan, carry out an experimental part of a research. Fix conditions of carrying out experience and essential details further to reflect them in the report without distortions. An indispensable condition of a good experiment is the repeatability of results. In other words, if desired any researcher has to have an opportunity to repeat experiment to compare results to your conclusions.
6. Issue results of scientific research in the form of the report or article. It is the most responsible stage of carrying out a research. The report has to contain all essential moments concerning a research and also the main conclusions confirming or disproving a working hypothesis. In the conclusion of the report it is appropriate to estimate expediency of continuation of researches on this subject and to try to formulate key tasks for the future.
