How to solve Einstein's riddle

How to solve Einstein's riddle

There is an opinion that about five foreigners only 2% of the population of Earth are capable to solve the well-known logical problem of Einstein. Partly it is the truth because to operate in mind with a task which condition twenty five concepts enter it is impossible for the average person. But there are simpler and clear solutions of this cunning riddle of the great physicist.

It is required to you

  • - Sheet of paper;
  • - pencil or handle.

Instruction

1. Draw the table consisting of 6 lines and 6 columns on the sheet of paper. Enter the known conditions in columns: house, color, nationality, drink, cigarettes and animal. In the line "house" fill all columns with figures from 1 to 5. Write down all these conditions in the table.

2. If the Norwegian lives in the first house then that the second house blue. Think what color the first house? It is not red, in red there lives an Englishman. It is not green and not white as these flowers on a condition are at home nearby. The first house means yellow, and, therefore, in the first house smoke "Dunhill", and in the second house keep a horse.

3. What is drunk by the Norwegian (who lives in the first, yellow house and smokes "Dunhill")? Tea, coffee, beer and milk disappear because do not approach under the offered terms. It turns out, the Norwegian's drink - water.

4. On a condition follows that in the second, blue house smoke Marlboro and hold a horse. What nationality this person? He is not the Norwegian (first house), not the Englishman (red house), not the Swede (his animal – a dog) and not the German (Rothmans cigarettes). Means in the second house there lives a Dane who has tea.

5. As in the green house have coffee, it cannot be the third. The fifth it also cannot be because to the right of it there is a house. So, the green house — the fourth. Therefore, the red house – the third (in it there lives an Englishman), and the White House — the fifth. By process of elimination in the White House drink beer and smoke "Winfield".

6. Where does the German live? He smokes "Rothmans" that is can live only in the fourth, green house. And the person who smokes "Pall Mall" and breeds birds lives in the third, red house, and this is the Englishman. The Swede with a dog, turns out, live in the fifth house. The cat lives in the first or in the third house, but in the third house already there live birds, so a cat in the first house. Thus, the answer of a task – small fishes are bred by the German.
