The gram is one of SI units which is applied to measurement of body weight or substance. The gram is not the only thing a way to express weight, besides it milligrams, kilograms, tons, etc. are widely applied. Respectively, it is rather easy to transfer these units each other. It is not less simple to transfer grams to tons.

1. For a start it is worth knowing that between gram (g) and ton there is still more often a weight unit of measure meeting in life - kilogram (kg). One kilogram contains 1000 grams, in turn one ton contains 1000 kilograms. Applying a mathematical form of record, it can be written so: 1 kg = 1000 g1 t = 1000 kg
2. Proceeding from the data stated above, it is possible to make transfer of grams to tons already: 1000 * 1000 = 1000000 g. In other words, one ton contains one million grams.
3. To understand how transfer of grams to tons is put into practice, it is possible to review an example. On production of bakery products brought 4 tons of flour. Flour will be spent for production of cakes, weight of each of which 200 g. For what amount of cakes will the brought flour be enough? Decision: It is necessary to transfer the weight of four tons of flour to grams: 4*1000000 = 4000000 gteper it is necessary to divide the turned-out size into cake weight: 4000000 g / 200 = 20000 pirozhnykhotvt: four tons of flour will be enough for production of twenty thousand cakes.
