How to write the composition on a linguistic subject

The composition on a linguistic subject quite frequent task in 7-9 classes of high school. Its basic purpose to teach school students to create texts reasonings, to improve their literacy of the letter and to set ability to use spelling patterns. For positive assessment any composition on a linguistic subject has to correspond to a number of requirements and to be written on a certain algorithm.

1. First of all, to write composition is necessary only scientific or publicistic style. Obvious manifestation of emotions in the text or appealings is not allowed to feelings of the reader. The composition has to be written in the form of a reasoning and contain either the proof of the point of view of the author, or the reasoned denial of the offered statement.

2. Any educational composition has to have the accurate structure including the introduction (beginning), the main part and the conclusion. Therefore before starting writing of the text, it is reasonable to make the preliminary plan. It will allow to sustain strict logic of the narration. In relation to the composition on a linguistic subject the text has to contain the main thesis, arguments in its support and the conclusions drawn on the basis of the provided proofs.

3. The thesis of the composition has to be formulated on the basis of the set subject and contain its keywords or expressions. For example, if the subject "Why Punctuation Marks in a Written Language Are Necessary" is set, then the thesis can be formulated as in the form of a statement: "Punctuation marks serve in a written language for division of the text into the semantic fragments facilitating understanding of the reader". And by contradiction: "The text with the absent punctuation marks, is difficult for perception and may contain a large amount of ambiguities: "To execute it is impossible to pardon".

4. The main part of the composition on a linguistic subject surely has to contain examples. Examples it is necessary to use not less than two and to accompany them with the comments explaining the point of view of the author.

5. In the Conclusion the conclusion confirming an initial thesis has to be drawn. It is good if at the same time a conclusion reflects the author's position. Before rewriting a final version on the clean copy, the text should be re-read and corrected once again. Writing of the words raising doubts needs to be checked according to the dictionary.
