1. It is difficult to overestimate a role of biology, the sciences which are its part in detail study life of all live on Earth in all its manifestations: structure of organisms, their behavior among themselves and also interrelation with the environment. The modern biology unites in itself the following fundamental concepts: cellular theory, homeostasis, genetics and energy. Now independent sections biologists became the following: botany, zoology, microbiology, virology, anatomy. All of them are equally important and represent the whole complex of the valuable fundamental knowledge accumulated by mankind for all the time of its existence.
2. The modern biology was strongly included into such sciences as sociology, ecology and, of course, medicine. The biology, as well as any other science, constantly is replenished with any given new knowledge, opening, researches which are transformed to new biological laws and theories. Modern biology helped medicine to find necessary ways in fight against the bacteriological and quickly extending viral diseases. Exactly thanks to this science, mankind it was succeeded to overcome such vitally dangerous diseases as cholera, plague, a typhoid, smallpox, anthrax, etc.
3. The biology role as sciences grows in the modern world every year. For example, it is impossible to imagine modern life without genetic researches, without selection, without production of new food and, of course, without emergence of new power sources. And all thanks to the fact that the modern biology represents the base and theoretical base for absolutely different, but perspective sciences, among which: bionics, genetic engineering. Without knowledge gained by biology one of the greatest opening of mankind – interpretation of human genome would be impossible, and modern biotechnologies allow to create the safe drugs necessary for treatment and prevention.
4. Now pharmaceutical industry, criminalistics, gerontology, construction, agriculture, development of space do not do without biology as science. Knowledge of biology in these spheres of life is simply necessary. The unstable ecological situation on the planet demands a certain reconsideration of production activity that allows modern biology to move to essentially new level. Annually in the world there are large-scale environmental or technogenic catastrophes striking both the small, and big states, and caused by the existing social and economic contradictions of modern society.
