Astronomers of the whole world do not cease to look for the planets suitable for existence of life. Whether there are they in the Universe actually today for certain it is known to nobody. But development of opportunities, emergence of the latest technologies in a research of space give hope that soon planets with the conditions similar to terrestrial, will be surely found.
Opening of the new planet: conditions for life presumably are!
Recently astronomers found the new planet which is out of the Solar system and presumably having conditions for life. Its sizes and weight are comparable to terrestrial. It is supposed also that at it there is water, one of the main conditions for development of life. Distance from the found planet to Earth – twenty light years.
This sensational opening it was declared by the international group of scientists, representatives of Portugal, Switzerland and France. Researching in Chile, in the European observatory, they by means of the most powerful modern telescopes found the new planet which is near a star of Gliese 581 of the Libra.
The found planet was called by Gliese 581c. It is 1.5 times more than Earth and by 5 times massivny, gravity on it is about 1.6 g. Having taken these data into account, scientists christened the new planet "Superzemly". Under their assumptions, Gliese 581c has the rocky relief similar in shape to terrestrial. Temperature on the surface of the new planet, presumably, is in range from 0 to 40 wasps. The distance between Superzemlya and its star is 14 times less, than between Earth and the Sun, year on the new planet makes 13 terrestrial days. In the sky of Gliese 581c its native sun appears by the sizes by twenty times big, than our star. There is no information on the speed of rotation of the discovered planet round its pivot-center yet.
Other ekstrasolnechny planets and their habitability
The planet of Gliese 581c found astronomers has the parameters, most acceptable for life, from 220 ekstrasolnechny planets discovered in recent years. Other worlds have too low or too high temperatures of surfaces, or are gas giants, such as, for example, Saturn. Opening of Superzemli allows to draw certain conclusions, for example, that the immediate environment of the Sun may contain many planets with suitable conditions for life. Gliese 581 – one of hundred stars which are on space scales, in close proximity to the Sun. From 99 planets of 80% adjoining to it in this list also, as well as it are red dwarfs. Quite perhaps, they have a rocky relief too and there are reserves of liquid water, and their weight is comparable about terrestrial. According to assumptions of scientists, these planets can also address around the stars and quite be suitable for life.
