What does the technology of a method of six hats consist in?

How does usual process of thinking of the person take place? Facing any problem, the person can behave differently: not to think at all how to solve a problem, giving in on emotional reaction which forms further behavior; to feel confusion at emergence of sudden difficulties and not to know how to do right thing in the circumstances; to try to hold all necessary information on the forthcoming task in the head, to do attempts to think logically and at the same time to watch that and interlocutors had a logic and constructibility at the solution of this task. As a rule, such behavior comes to an end with confusion in the head and confusion.

Thus, in any polemic there is an inevitable collision of opinions. As a result in the course of the discussion wins not that decision which will be the best for all participants of polemic, and that which was most successfully proved during the dispute.

The technology of thinking "Six hats" is based on essentially different approach. It consists in parallel thinking at which different opinions and the points of view do not face among themselves, and exist separately from each other and quite peacefully. Parallel thinking allows to divide thoughts and the ideas into six modes which are presented in different color scale. It is similar to the drawing which is printed on the color printer – different colors, without mixing up, take everyone the place and as a result the full picture turns out. Reception of six hats allows to carry out similar process in our brain. Thus, parallel thinking allows not to mix all thoughts, the ideas and arguments in one heap, and to work with them in turn. At the end of this process the "full-color" image of our thoughts has to turn out.
