What is a system

System formations can be observed everywhere in the world surrounding the person. Economic, technological, public, natural, solar - all this examples of systems.

Instruction

1. The word "system" has the Greek origin and means whole of several parts, the organization, a system, the device, an organism a combination. The concept of a system - one their fundamental in science, means existence of several objects connected among themselves and thanks to these communications functioning as a unit. So objects of a system gain the qualities which are absent at them separately. Systems are material and abstract (theories, algorithms, mathematical models). Also, depending on origin, they are divided into natural, artificial and mixed. Other classifications are the simple and complex systems opened and closed, determined (predictable) and nondeterministic.

2. Each system has a number of signs - signs of systemacity. First, it is sign of external integrity: in relation to the environment the system proves as the uniform isolated whole. Secondly, it is sign of internal integrity: communications between elements are steady. If communications are broken, the system cannot perform the functions. Thirdly, it has hierarchy - in it it is possible to allocate subsystems. Any system aims the existence and consists of elements. The element is meant as such component which cannot be broken into smaller parts.

3. It is possible to give society of people in which each individual carries out the function as an example of a system, and interrelations and the relations between individuals are under construction on the basis of social and legal laws. The person is a striking example of a biological system where all bodies function in concert. From technical systems it is possible to call the computer, the car, etc.

4. The system approach applied in scientific research on production, etc. for the solution of tasks is connected with a concept of a system. At the same time the system is segmented that it was simpler to make the analysis concerning each separate element then the received results are synthesized again.
