What represents acrylic
Acrylic is a thermoplastic polymeric material at the heart of which - acrylic acid. There was it in 1950 and soon began to be manufactured in the USA and Europe actively. Acrylic is also applied in production of advertizing signs, lamps, false ceilings, stained-glass windows, door glasses, show-windows, etc. Plexiglas (polymethyl methacrylate) represents the transparent plastic also known as acrylic glass though with the real glass it is united only by transparency. In construction acrylic lacquer is widely applied - to finishing and decorative works, to protection of wooden surfaces against damages. After drawing such varnish quickly dries, forming the transparent, a little brilliant, plain surface resistant to cracks. It is resistant to UV rays, influence of moisture and detergents. One more plus - available cost. Acrylic vodnodispersny paints are very popular as they unite properties of oil and a watercolor, have no pungent smell, are not toxic, do not burst. They are distinguished by saturated color which does not grow dull and does not burn out. Acrylic paints can be applied on various surfaces - a tree, glass, metal, a cloth, paper. Threads and clothes (on labels it is specified "acrylic" or "PAN-fiber") are made of acrylic. Such things are available at the price and buy them, for example, instead of more expensive natural wool. It is interesting that acrylic is called sometimes "artificial wool". Yarn with acrylic content well is suitable for knitting manually and by knitting cars. As acrylic fibers are well painted over, from them yarn of saturated and bright colors turns out, does not fade and does not burn out, though has the shortcomings in comparison with natural fabrics.
