The computer science, in modern understanding, can be called the complex science systematizing methods of creation, display, processing and data transmission by means of computer facilities including the principles of work and ways of control of this equipment.
The concept "computer sciences" appeared in France in the 60th years of the last century (informatique) for designation of the division of science which is responsible for information processing with means of electronic computers. Close translation of the term sounds as "information automatic equipment" or "the automated information processing". An English-speaking analog of the term "computer science" is the concept computer science (science about the computer equipment). The polysemy of the concept "computer science" is reflected in its conditional division into several main directions of development:
- branch of the national economy - the enterprises for production of the computer equipment, the software and creation of new technology of data processing. Provides increase in productivity of work in the majority of other areas; according to approximate data, a half of jobs in world economy is supported by media of transmission and information processing;
- the fundamental science - develops methodology of the organization of information support of schemes of management of various objects on the basis of computer technologies; - the applied discipline - investigates laws of information processes, creates information models of human communications and develops models of various systems and technologies.
The main objective of computer science it is considered to be creation of methods and development of means of transformation of various data (information). From this it follows that problems of computer science it is possible to call: - studying all information processes; - creation of the information equipment and technology of processing of data on the basis of results of study; - performance of specific objectives by means of new technologies of data processing and the equipment of the last generations created on the basis of results of studying information processes. The main cure of objectives in computer science are COMPUTERS.
