1. The earth is the standard name of the third planet from the Sun, it one of the heaviest and to diameter among all "inhabitants" of the Solar system. The approximate age of the planet is four and a half billion years. The Earth's surface represents the land and waters of the World Ocean occupying its most part.
2. The area of the planet is equal more than to five hundred million square kilometers which seventy percent are covered with water.
3. Earth crust is divided into tectonic plates which have ability to move. This process happens so slowly that the movement can be noted only during the period in thousands of years. Shifts of plates lead to serious changes of the Earth's surface.
4. Bark has strong structure with the greatest density among other planets, the strongest gravitation and magnetic field. The Earth's surface is non-uniform. The highest point - Mount Everest (nearly nine thousand meters above sea level), the deepest - the Mariana hollow going on eleven kilometers down.
5. The planet has several layers in the building: earth crust, cloak and kernel. Its troposphere, a stratosphere, the mesosphere, a thermosphere and an exosphere surround.
6. Presence of waters of the World Ocean on the surface of the planet is one of its distinctive signs. One more of them - living beings and the atmosphere suitable for their existence. People live only on this planet, analogs of similar beings in the world it is not revealed.
7. Close relationship connects Earth with the Sun and the Moon. Rotation around the Sun happens under an axis inclination in 23.4 degrees, around it the planet takes a cycle for the period corresponding to one year (about 365 days). The moon is the satellite of Earth and represents the space object similar to planets. By the sizes it is four times less than Earth.
