Wax
Wax is very spread in the nature and is natural substance. It represents solid mix of esters. There are three types of wax of animal origin - beeswax, spermaceti or lanolin – woolen wax.
Both wax, and paraffin are absolutely insoluble in water, but are sensitive to alcohols and air.
Lanolin is formed at animals for protection against external influence of the environment. Spermaceti is produced at cachalots, and beeswax is familiar, probably, to everyone. All these types have absolutely unique microbiological structure, and therefore are highly appreciated.
