What role of natural sciences in the modern world

The modern natural sciences were created not at once. Allocation of a number of the interconnected sciences about the nature was preceded by accumulation of knowledge and the facts about the reality surrounding the person. Today natural sciences still occupy one of the leading places in the system of scientific knowledge.

Instruction

1. Traditionally include physics, chemistry and biology in structure of natural sciences. These general disciplines, in turn, are subdivided into a number of private sciences which object of study were different forms of motion of matter. Distinguish fundamental natural sciences which are aimed at development of theoretical provisions and also applied disciplines focused on the solution of practical tasks.

2. The natural sciences were allocated from other areas of knowledge in the Middle Ages. Then there was an opportunity to describe results of a research of the nature by means of exact and strict mathematical language. The experiment which if desired could be repeated was gradually regarded as of paramount importance, having checked calculations of researchers. And today pilot studies are the main source of knowledge of the nature and its features.

3. Several centuries ago the natural sciences began to affect outlook of mankind very seriously. Results of experiments demonstrated that objective processes which depend not on will of bodiless divine powers, and on laws of development of a material world are the cornerstone of the natural phenomena. Natural sciences were and continue to remain a basis for formation of materialistic outlook.

4. Sciences about the nature in the modern world become base for development of productive forces of a civilization. Applied researches in the field of chemistry, physics, biology, astronomy, geology and other natural disciplines lay the foundation for designing of the technical systems designed to facilitate development of the nature. Practically all present equipment to a degree uses the phenomena and effects opened in natural sciences.

5. One of the functions of natural sciences remaining today – association and systematization of the data received during observations and experiments. On the basis of natural science knowledge the basis for development of many humanities is formed. For example, this, obtained from biology and physiology, became base for formation of the psychological concepts explaining behavior of the person and social groups.

6. In focus of natural science knowledge nature objects lie: different forms of existence of matter, biological life, person, Earth and other space objects, all boundless Universe. Expansion of knowledge of a material world which continues and until now reduces dependence of mankind on the natural phenomena and uncontrollable elements. In line there is a task of conscious management of the phenomena of a material world at all its levels: from a microcosm to the remote galaxies.
