It is difficult to present modern life without car. It is convenient in operation, is comfortable, but its main advantage that the car allows to reduce sharply movement time from one point in another. But very few people think of the one who created the very first car and what difficult way this vehicle before it won wide popularity in masses had to pass.
As well as for the majority of large inventions, in development of the car it is very difficult to reveal the birth moment. The first attempts to create the self-moving vehicle using steam force belong to the second half of the 18th century. In 1769 the French inventor Kunyo presented to the public the three-wheeled vehicle equipped with steam installation. In the first half of the 19th century there were cars working at electricity, but this type of energy did not find broad application in those days, only modern designers anxious with creation of the eco-friendly vehicle seriously thought of it.
It is considered that the first car supplied with the engine using gasoline was designed and constructed in 1885 by Karl Benz. The first model of the German designer was cool met by inhabitants. And only after the successful long-distance trip on the car of the wife of Benz who proved practicality and reliability of the car, the inventor took out the patent for the creation, and in two years started serial release of cars of the design.
Gradually, thanks to efforts of many designers and inventors, the car began to acquire useful devices which increased reliability and convenience of operation of this type of transport. Several years prior to termination XIX of century Englishman Lanchester, in particular, complemented the car with the wheels equipped with needles and special pneumatic tires. He took out the patent for a disk brake. Driving the car became more comfortable and safe now.
From now on development of the new perspective vehicle went the accelerated rates. The engine became more powerful, the wooden design of a body was replaced with metal, external outlines changed. That car which you got used to see now, thus, became result of collective work of many generations of inventors.
