The true leader is charismatic, vigorous, bright, charming, competent, is flexible, reliable. He is capable to find approach to people and to influence their emotional sphere. Such unique persons able to light, encourage creativity and to inspire the subordinates, psychologists call emotional leaders.

How to become the emotional leader?

Emotional leadership – an unusual occurrence, however it can learn. First of all it is necessary to understand differences between the manager and the leader. The first pushes in various ways people in the direction necessary to it, the second – creates the atmosphere of participation, satisfies internal needs of subordinates that touches them and causes a sincere response.

The main tool which the emotional leader has to master is own emotions. They are infectious therefore the true leader should learn to constrain the negative moods causing decline, and to cultivate the incendiary, optimistic emotions generating the necessary spirit. In addition, the emotional leader should improve the self-checking, strong-willed and adaptation qualities, initiative, optimism, self-confidence, empathy, ability to work in team and to resolve the conflicts.

To form the emotional intelligence, leaders have to respect subordinates, understand and accept values of all collective, develop analytical skills and an intuition, to learn to listen and hear.

The one who wants to become the emotional leader has to open in himself:

  • ideal I, that is to reveal the paramount vital values;
  • valid I, that is to find out the detailed truth about itself, having analyzed the behavior and having asked others.

The following step - scheduling of self-improvement in which all defects revealed at valid I as a result to be equal to ideal I will be considered. It is necessary to try other than habitual to model of thinking and behavior, to apply secrets of successful leaders. For improvement of relationship with subordinates it is necessary to learn to build work on the basis of mutual support and trust.
