The gender psychology is one of the newest branches of social psychology, it goes through a formation stage. As it is simple to guess from the name, the gender psychology studies psychology of floors, and anatomic sexual distinctions have no value here. Neither a floor in the passport, nor genitals define a gender. The gender is a set of qualities of the person which he shows in society. Proceeding from it, the person has a men's or female gender.
Area of study
First of all, It should be noted that it is psychology of gender similarities of floors, but not distinctions. Modern society divides two genders, however it is not a limit. For example, in Thailand contain up to 5 genders, including heterosexuals and homosexuals, and various branches of these concepts.
The gender psychology as science, studies psychology of men and women, their comparison, psychology of the gender relations of floors and also leadership psychology. The last is the most complex branch of gender psychology.
Psychology of gender leadership
The gender psychology of leadership unites the mass of psychological aspects which, actually, go beyond gender science. First of all, roles which on the relation to each other accept men and women are investigated: leader, subordinate, follower, head. Very often the psychology of behavior of the person will depend on the position held by it: if the man and the woman take an equal official position, their behavior will be similar, gender distinctions will be minimized. If the woman in power, she turns into the head's man, and the man, the subordinate to it (on an office debt) will resemble more and more in the words and behavior the woman.
Gender psychology and family
Despite of relevance of an example of gender leadership in a working situation, nevertheless it is best possible to show psychology of the gender relations in family. It is already proved that the behavior of the man and woman with each other in a family circle depends on the cultural environment in which these representatives of society grew up. That is, the gender psychology is directly connected with the matriarchy reigning in the environment or patriarchy. Proceeding from it, it is possible to draw easily a conclusion that we are not born, from the gender point of view, the man or the woman, and become them how it is accepted to behave in our society to the woman and the man.
Harm of gender stereotypes
Often women, finding in itself abilities, talents and potential for development, face the conflict in themselves and the conflict with society. The reason is that her desires to self-development do not correspond to stereotypes of this society on the relation of a role of the woman in society. Men also face the same problems. The gender psychology of men is a vigor, ambition, achievements, the status, physical and intellectual perfection. Not each man manages to master all these qualities and if any top does not give in to him, there is a depression and isolation which is shown in the form of lack of emotionality and also as obsession to compete and win.

Whether it is worth puzzling itself with gender status? Karl Jung at one stroke nullified at the time all gender psychology as science. As he claimed, the person consists of two beginnings: soul and spirit. Soul is the thin structure which is responsible for sensuality, emotions, an intuition, changeable moods. Soul is a feminine. The spirit is an initiative, will, aspiration. It is the men's nature. The person, according to K. Jung, can be the full-fledged and harmonious personality only in case of a combination of both beginnings.
