For creation of the family tree, search of family relations or just at search of the died relative, it is required to find burial to which there can be several decades. Now there are several options of finding of burial of the dead.
Instruction
1. Search in posthumous documents. To find the place of burial of the person by means of the posthumous report, such as death certificate, you have to know, at least, a full name of the person, approximate year of death, and the place (the state, the city) of death.
2. Search in church records. To find the place of burial of the person in church registration of death, you have to know a name of the person and name churches where the ceremony was executed, or a name of the priest who held a ritual and is recorded in church registration of death.
3. To find the place of burial of the person in the obituary it is necessary to know approximate date of death, a full name of the person in time of death and the state (city) where the death occurred (where the obituary was probably published).
4. Military reports. To find the place of burial of the person in the military report, you have to know a name of the veteran, office of its service, such as army, the fleet or marine corps, the state and date of military operations during which the veteran served. If the period of service fell on time after 1916, you have to know also start dates of service and release, the military identification number, the social security number and date of birth.
5. Family stories and biographies. They can list places of burial. To receive the copy of family history or the biography, it is necessary to know a full name of the person and the approximate area (the state or the county) in which, perhaps, there lived a person.
6. Cemeteries and reports of the cemetery. To find the place of burial in reports of the cemetery, you have to know a name of the person, date of death and the place of its last accommodation and also the place of death to define the possible field of its burial.
