The first impression about the person can dispose to it new acquaintances, and can destroy yet not begun relations, it is capable to provide with profitable work or, on the contrary, to deprive of useful communications. Despite a popular proverb "Meet on clothes …", often the appearance appears not the main factor at personal contact. To make the first good impression, it is enough to follow simple rules of etiquette of acquaintance.

1. Punctuality – distinctive feature of the accurate and responsible person. Delay, even for the most good reason, will make about you a negative impression already before you are met. To start acquaintance it does not approach. Your punctuality will indicate what you are able to appreciate not only the time, but also time of your partner. However too early it is also not necessary to come. If the person expecting you is not ready yet or at all is absent, you in vain should wait for the fixed time. And to come on a visit ahead of time it is considered very impolite.

2. To remember a name from the moment of representation of the new acquaintance to you – a good way to win over the person. During the conversation try to address it exclusively by name. Such address not only is pleasant and polite, but also concentrates attention of the interlocutor to you and your statements. If you cannot remember a name of the new acquaintance at the next meeting, the person can have an impression that acquaintance to it was uninteresting to you.

3. Use body language, smile. These ways of nonverbal communication form in subconsciousness a certain impression about the person: positive – if is pleasant to the interlocutor behavior, negative – if pushes away. You do not look away at all, do not evade from visual contact, try not to approach the person too close, breaking his intimate space, do not clap it it can do. It is enough to remember two simple actions which can lead to good, to friendship, – a wide natural smile and long handshake.

4. The tidy, suitable circumstances clothes, an accurate hairstyle, the polished footwear, for women - the make-up corresponding to circumstances, well-groomed nails – all this in total with the correct tactics of behavior will allow to impress most favourably the interlocutor.

5. At communication with new people you monitor the statements and the speech in general. Do not swear, you speak competently, accurately that the interlocutor did not ask again you, putting yourself and you in an awkward situation, do not use black humour, be not persuasive. Be especially reserved and polite in communication with people of the senior generation and business partners.
