We doubt that it is possible to create unambiguous and only the right definition to a concept – a maternal instinct as it is a little abstract and means something special for each person, depending on a social and psychological maturity, to the education level, moral standards of behavior, etc.
It is a little history
In different eras the maternal instinct was shown differently. For example, in the 17th century to children treated without special manifestations of love and care and when the child died, considered it God's punishment and did not suffer at all, and did not long about it. Cases in the history when the birth of the child was the tragedy, and death on the contrary joy are known. And only at the beginning of the 19th century the maternal instinct at women began to be shown. In the modern world many can give definition to this concept as immense love of mother for the child, her guardianship and care and also diligence to create the best and safe conditions for the child's life.
What influences?
The maternal instinct appears at women when she is born, the woman's relation with her mother forms her future attitude towards the child. But many women can not understand this happiness, and all because on them society and the environment of its dwelling presses. For example, when appearance of the child on light is condemned by close people, the woman at the subconscious level tries to get rid of the newborn child. Such behavior is frequent call – lack of a maternal instinct. Let's consider several facts which will help to understand why many women have no maternal instinct.
- In the modern world existence of a maternal instinct not obligatory point as it is not the only role which the woman has to carry out. But it does not say that care to the child will be taken to a lesser extent.
- Maternal instinct – it is not always good as sometimes such care is taken as a mania. Guardianship can be so pernicious that it will only do much harm to the child. Because of it at the kid the neurosis, a low self-assessment and serious mental health problems can be created.
- Many women have a postnatal depression which is shown in negative perception of new life which cardinally changed about appearance of the child. Also the lack of a maternal instinct is affected by long distance between mother and the child, for example, if mother decided to leave on earnings and so forth.
- It is impossible to judge about existence of a maternal instinct because of the woman's attitude towards other people's children.
- The maternal instinct at women is not connected in any way with ability to look after the child. Such knowledge can be received from books, the Internet, councils of other mummies or from practice with other children. Feelings and ability to change to the child a diaper are not connected among themselves in any way.
- Many girls to be afraid that with the advent of the child in their life they will plunge into nipples, diapers also will cease to feel like the beautiful woman. But it absolutely not so. Children feel perfectly when near them happy parents, remember it.
- If you have no maternal instinct, it does not mean that you bad mother. You will also care for the child, to give him drugs during a disease, to help to do homework, but only without excessive guardianship and excessive care.
All our problem – society which creates the correct and wrong decisions, condemns many for their acts and punishes for their decision. But sometimes the opinion of society is a gregarious instinct therefore people who consider that if the woman has no maternal instinct, then she does not love the child they - are wrong. These are absolutely different concepts, each mother loves the kid and is ready for him for many acts.
