Concept of the personality
In modern psychology there is a set of various definitions of the personality.
The personality is understood how a certain complete education, a set of psychophysical features of the person, a mental tone and a spirit and also set of the preferences and habits created in development, sociocultural experience and knowledge of the world. All this defines daily behavior of the person, his communication with surrounding reality. Also the personality is understood as ensemble of the integrated worlds, that is a set of behavioural roles for various situations of interaction with society.
The identity of the person is shown in interaction of the subject with other members of society. Each person at the same time shows unique behavior in which, however, it can mark out inherent only mental features.
Structure of the personality
Representatives of various directions of psychology unequally represent structure of the personality and offer different explanations of structure of mental properties of the personality.
In general refer temperament, character, abilities and orientation to steady mental properties of the personality. All elements of structure of mental properties of the personality are in natural interrelations. Speaking in other words, in complete unity therefore it is not necessary to consider mental properties and elements of structure of the personality as something sekulyarizovanny (i.e. separate).
Characteristic of mental properties of the personality
In science it is considered to be that in the world of people any mental manifestation has the biological basis.
It is necessary to consider that natural properties of the individual and his temperament to a certain extent define its abilities, so, and development. The temperament of the person is set genetically, that is is defined by heredity.
The unique character of the personality develops in development as a result of experience and accumulation of experience of interactions with the external environment, that is, the world. It is possible to tell that the character of the person develops as set of temperament, abilities and orientation. It is necessary to consider, as fixing of traits of character in many respects is defined by orientation of the personality and an originality of temperament of the specific person (the temperament in reality is not one of four known types, and most often a combination). The known uniqueness of the personality is given also to character accentuation.
Abilities and their development define a possibility of inclusion of the person in any given types of activity, that is, thus, form orientation of the personality.
