The problem of adoption of children is particularly acute. One of solutions of this question - the replaced parents. Who are they as candidates in the usual Siberian region? What their psychological portrait?
Social orphanhood pays the increasing attention to itself in recent years. To raise children in orphanages and boarding schools the science and practice consider inexpedient. Children badly adapt to usual independent life. An alternative – a foster home. This social institute did not find universal distribution yet, exists in different regions and mainly in the cities.
The replacing parents of adopted children in the Siberian region
Among the people who are interested in other people's children childless slightly exceed the number of those who have own children. Relation to a form of acceptance of the child: adherents of adoption approximately reach a half of respondents, guardianship and guardianship are preferred by 20% and only 5-6% are ready to start the replacing family. 25-26% were not defined on the moment of the appeal to the relevant structures at all.
The shape of the replacing parents still is insufficiently studied. Usually such study goes in three interconnected and interdependent directions: what the person aspires to, his abilities and that represents as the personality.
Their vital self-determination reached an important stage. They began to be guided more in hierarchy of values by family and a roditelstvo. Their personal characteristics are caused by the system of attachment and features of the motivational and informative sphere.
Candidates in replacing parents almost all are employed (94%), in the majority on full-time employment. From them 30% - on senior positions. 51% have the higher education, 27% - an average special. Their age on average – 36 years. First of all, when choosing they are interested in gender and age of the child. External qualities of the child are significant only for 4-5%.
In 57% of cases one of parents acted as the initiator, the others made the joint decision. There is a lot of reasons, but the main – two: loneliness and childlessness of the parent (32%) and desire to help the disadvantaged and parental feelings (14%). A half is not inclined to expatiate on the motives at all.
The importance of vital values begins with love, health, family. The social status, religion, rest – not in a priority. All consider that the events happening to them depend on their personal qualities and are a consequence of their own activity.
They got used to be responsible for the life. Do not avoid and are not concerned by close relations. In the conflicts they are focused on compromise solutions, are less inclined to rivalry. Aggressions are not inclined to stressful states and depressive frustration, well adapt. It is explained by their subjective control. The it is higher, the awareness on the replacing roditelstvo is better. And also than is more senior.
Gender features of candidates are quite usual. At men the verbal aggression is more expressed, than at women. But women are more concerned about close relations, than men.
