Emotions are that tool by means of which our brain gives an assessment to the events from the outside and in us. All emotions – are subjective. People perceive and assess the same situation diametrically variously. But at the same time – the whole world is united by language of emotions, despite of culture, education, race. People are capable to read out from different parts of the world on tone, a mimicry and gestures an emotional condition of the person. Moreover, even animals, and the children who even are not given birth in mother's womb are capable to do it.
There is no device which could write down all types of emotions, all of them, being weaved with each other, create a unique picture of perception of the world. However there are basic emotions:
- anger;
- joy;
- grief;
- indifference.
Further in psychology distinguish the following types of emotions:
- positive;
- negative;
- neutral.
It is possible to carry to positive emotions pleasure, pleasure, joy, delight, self-confidence, gloating, trust, gratitude, sympathy, pride and also sexual love and attachment.
Carry to negative emotions: anger, rage, alarm, offense, rage, jealousy, boredom, disappointment, disappointment, repentance, impatience and other.
With neutral emotions it is simpler and simpler – they express emptiness. It is surprise, contemplation, curiosity and indifference.
Functions
Nothing just like that, in itself, arises. Emotions is not an empty coloring of our lives, and very important protective and information functions of our organism.
Functions:
- protective function is in what at the moment of danger, emotion is an instant reaction of the person which can save from the most terrible consequences;
- motivational function is one of the most frequent applications of emotions; emotions can motivate, induce us to actions and also very often emotions replace also thinking;
- alarm function of emotions is that on manifestations of emotions it is possible to learn about in what state there is a person, what his requirements.
So, with types and functions of emotions everything is clear, and here what difference between emotions and feelings?
Feelings
In fact, emotions is a temporary experience of certain feelings. If the person loves soccer and the team (feeling of love), then at the scored goal he will feel not love, but different emotional variations of this feeling:
- delight;
- admiration;
- joy;
- pleasure;
- gloating;
- satisfaction.
Feelings are the relation to objects and the phenomena of surrounding reality. There are highest feelings – they consist of closely weaved emotional feelings. For example, love is simpler feeling, than love.
Lyubov assumes manifestation of a number of emotions:
- jealousy;
- attachments;
- tendernesses;
- friendship;
- pleasures;
- grief.
The fact that between types of feelings and emotions there is only a conditional side allows us to love and hate at the same time, to suffer, and is in pleasant expectation.
But, nevertheless, psychologists nevertheless managed to systematize feelings:
- moral feelings;
- practical feelings;
- intellectual feelings;
- esthetic senses.
We carry love, friendship, patriotism, conscience to moral. To practical – all types of feelings connected with work. So, the satisfaction with work promotes feeling of diligence, but not the satisfaction causes a feeling of penal servitude.
Intellectual feelings are a knowledge, inquisitiveness, surprise, joy of opening. And it is necessary to accustom to esthetic senses since the childhood by means of various art circles – drawing, music, dances. Esthetic senses are an opportunity and ability to behold surrounding beauty.
