Hole — Niyama: how to begin a way of personal self-improvement

The human nature is equipped in such a way that he all life looks for answers to a set of philosophical questions concerning origin and arrangement of the Universe, the mystery of origin and existence of all live on the earth, own purpose in this huge world.

People from time immemorial looked for and look for a treasured formula of happiness, success, a spiritual pacification, the truth.

For the implementation listed there is a set of spirituality, knowledge, many of which are based on religion.

Recently one of the most powerful and high-quality instruments of knowledge of the world, improvement and a pacification is the yoga which principles and the first steps, the Hole and Niyama, are the subject of our article.

Hole

Theoretically the yoga represents a certain code of precepts and rules to which everyone has to adhere yogin.

Neglecting at least one of the specified norms, people will not be able to become the full-fledged yogi and his practicians will not result in desirable result.

Hole and Niyama is what the yoga, the capricious arch of precepts to which it is necessary to adhere begins with.

Whether you know? The founder of yoga is Patanjali, he presented to the world Yoga-sutru — the basic text of yogiysky philosophical school. Since the time of Patanjali the yoga is treated as harmonious communication between a body, spirit and reason which begins with respect for the principles of the Hole and Niyama.

If to speak specifically about the Hole, then it is the first step on the way to complete and effective occupations yoga, primary particle of the full yogichesky doctrine.

Direct interpretation of the Hole — the main moral rules, the principles of self-checking. The full-fledged yoga begins with concrete indexes, concerning the fact that has to exclude from the life future yogin. Let's consider in more detail components of this moral code.

Today often practice such types of yoga as Ayengara, Kundalini, Prana, Bkhakti and the yoga-dance Mandala.

Akhimsa

The essence of the principle of Akhims (non-violence) is in excluding everything that can do harm to the world around from the physical, spiritual and moral life, delete any kind of violence and murders from the activity.

According to Akhims, the person who seeks to become a yogi is forbidden to do harm to this world.

Abstention from harm concerns not only physical actions: even thoughts of the person have to be clean from any mentions of violence, thoughts have ability to materialize.

Brakhmacharya

Brakhmacharya's essence consists in self-checking of future yogin. Everyone who stepped into a yogichesky way has to control the feelings, emotions, passions and lusts.

Brakhmacharya says that first of all the person has to dominate over the lusts, keep chastity before marries. The dissoluteness does not take place in yoga.

The yogi has to be brought internally together and be able to give a sober assessment to any situation, to reject temptations, to him inadmissibly to follow the tastes own passions.

Main in the way it concerns sexual purity, abstention from temptations of sexual nature. The person has to dispose reasonably of the energy (physical and mental character).

According to Brakhmacharya, human energy has to be directed only up, in any way not down. Sensual and pleasures of the body lead to the fact that the person simply squanders energy, and in yoga it something like a sin analog in Christianity.

Important! Yogichesky practicians are not only a way to nirvana, it and an opportunity to reduce risk of developing of cardiovascular diseases. Occupations yoga contribute to normalization of an arterial stream, reduce risk of developing of the diseases caused by high pressure. Strict observance of canons of the Hole and Niyama is the key to achievement of such result in yoga.

Astey

Point under the name Astey designates a theft exception of the life. It is a capricious analog of bible precepts Do not steal and Do not wish anything that is the property of your neighbor.

That is the yogi even should not assume thoughts of appropriating someone else's property.

The essence of Astei comes down to the fact that each thing is capable to accumulate energy of the owner. And if the person appropriates someone else's property, then he also adopts on himself energy of the former owner.

It leads to the fact that a certain energetic imbalance and in life of the one who took control of someone else's property, and in life of the previous owner who suffers from a lack of the stolen energy begins. Astey also consists in a greed exception of own activity as this line will become a source of human mistrust to the person wishing to become the yogi.

Important! The refusal of theft is capricious refusal of desires which are capable to take control of thoughts of the spiritual finder and to ruin it. Only the one who owns nothing is free from burdens of this world. Unrestrained desire to own things, or even people, leads to the fact that the person with own hand imposes on himself a karma.

Satya

The following step of the Hole is Satya, that is refusal of a lie both in relation to all people around, and in relation to themselves.

Yogin has to be the person in whose thoughts and life the principles of honesty and truthfulness appear. The main rule of Satya is to refuse self-deception.

The person who stepped into a way of spiritual clarification should not lie to himself, close eyes to spiritual and moral problems which require the immediate solution, to resort to a suggestiya and to convince themselves of correctness of the actions and steps, even wrong. The person who lies to himself cannot do without a lie to people around in any way. You should not be covered also with a lie for the good: thoughts and actions of a yogin only the truth, even the most severe has to direct.

The truth gives the person a chance to stop, rethink own life and to correct flaws. Offense is not only the lie, but also concealment of the truth.

Important! Yogichesky the practician Yamy calls observance also for purity of the speech, monitoring own lexicon, words have an opportunity to materialize; as the proverb has it, a word it is possible to kill or cure.

Aparigrakh

Aparigrakh is designated by an exception of activity of the yogi of moneymaking. Too often human life comes down only to earning on keeping of itself, purchase of any given things.

This process is infinite as purchase of one thing provokes origin of desire to get another. The person spends huge amount of energy which literally impregnated each thing earned of Passion for moneymaking for all this leads to emphasis of attention of the person only on a material world and on throwing spiritual development.

This situation leads to violation of the process of reincarnation. According to yogichesky exercises, after death each person regenerates.

Things which it got remain in this world, other people, with other energy become their owners, capricious mix of energy of the dead and energy of the new owner of products of activity deceased turns out.

This new energy defines what participation waits deceased in the world of the dead.

Whether you know? The arch of the Hole installations is called in honor of Hindu god of the kingdom of the dead. According to legends, the Hole was the first person who after death became a god. Duties of god of the kingdom of the dead are in meeting the died people on an entrance to the kingdom and to part them in the places intended to them, that is in those which they earned during lifetime. That is the Hole is the deity representing justice.

Niyama

In translation means Niyam to follow that is if Hole is the arch of the bans, then Niyam is what should be done on the way to top of yogichesky perfection. As well as the Hole, Niyama consists of five steps.

Shaucha

Shaucha in Niyam — it imitation the principles of purity is obese, spirit and reason. The real yogi has to watch that his appearance (body and clothes) and also consciousness were clean.

Everything that surrounds a yogin, has to be clean: water, air, food. It has to respect the sanitary and hygienic rules of rather own body. Purity of thoughts and consciousness — a producer of net energy.

Santosha

Santosha is an education and cultivation in herself abilities to be satisfied with the current situation: the yogi has to be content with what it has also whom it is, to exclude discontent from the life of any sort. Santosha has something in common with Aparigrakhoy.

Important! Observance of a step of Santosh in Niyam excludes satisfaction and pride of own achievements in yogichesky practice.

Yogis are guided by the nature which integral part are.

Plants and animals do not care about arrangement of conditions of full-fledged life, do not accumulate money, things and other material benefits, do not litter mind with thoughts of what will be tomorrow — the nature provides them to all necessary.

The person also has to live in harmony with the nature with which imbalance creates a set of problems and displeasure from the current situation.

Tapas

Asceticism (tapas) — one of the keys to success on the way to spiritual perfection. Tapas allows to keep a body and spirit in a tone.

The asceticism helps the person to follow the main yogichesky rules, to develop and train in itself self-checking and self-discipline.

Thanks to asceticism the body is possible to bridle yoga, to accustom him to changeable environmental conditions (a heat, cold, wind, etc.), a post, to take in hand lusts and passions.

The asceticism helps to temper not only a body, but also spirit, and reason, to clean energy and not to spend it for little things in life, to train and be improved persistently.

Svadhy

The yogi has to keep not only a body and spirit, but also reason in a tone therefore he has to care for the education, feed own mind. Self-education (Svadhyaya) is an integral part of a complete mosaic of Niyama. The yogi has to read much and literally absorb experience of great spiritual gurus. But, reading has to go in a complex with understanding: it is simple to read, without understanding at the same time the sense read will not bring any benefit.

In yoga mean not only mechanical process or understanding of the text, but also spiritual contact with people who are authors of the book by reading.

Whether you know? Yogis can hold the breath for a long time. If to pass to specifics, then the yogi can hold breath on 30, and even 60 minutes.

Ishvara Pranidhana

Ishvara Pranidhana is a devotion to god, ability to thank him for everything, understanding that all own achievements in this world are exclusively God's will.

The yogi has to honor god, love him and trust him, reflect on him. And the most important, all this has to be sincere. Everyone to be improved spiritually has to devote completely himself, the thoughts, actions, acts to god and in everything to be coordinated with him. As you can see, the real yoga does not consist in ability to put the body in a certain pose. The yoga is first of all spiritual, moral, intellectual and power practice, and it begins with respect for the principles of the Hole and Niyama.

It is impossible to become the full-fledged yogi, having disdained at least one of the listed above points.
